Meanwhile Lee Young Seung, who failed to defend her Macau China Open title yesterday, made amends with victory in the tour. Despite opening her first frame, the 20-year-old Korean National Sports University student downed altogether five strikes to beat Wang Ya Ting of Chinese Taipei for the women's title.
Lee booked her place in the final after defeating Kim Mi Ae, 243-199 in the All-Korean first semi-final match. She also beat compatriot, Kim Hyun A, 246-231 in her opening round and 2011 Macau leg champion, Julia Lam, 257-252 to advance to the semi-final.
Wang first dispatched Korea's Jang Ryeon Gyeong, 265-188 in the first round and 211-203 against Sharon Limansantoso of Indonesia in the second round before taking out a second Korean, Jang Ha Eun, 242-204 in the semi.
